5,6-Bis(octyloxy)benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole - Introduction
5,6-Bis (octyloxy)-2,1, 3-benzothiadiazole is an organic compound commonly abbreviated as DOS-Tz. Its molecular formula is C16H18N2O2S and its relative molecular mass is 306.39g/mol.
Some of the properties of DOS-Tz include:
-Appearance: White crystalline solid.
-Melting point: about 104-106 ℃.
-Solubility: Can be dissolved in a variety of organic solvents, such as dichloromethane, chloroform and methanol.
The use of DOS-Tz is mainly concentrated in chemical sensors and optoelectronic devices. It is often used as a dye-sensitized material for electronic devices, which can enhance the performance and sensitivity of optoelectronic devices. In addition, DOS-Tz is also widely used in the field of biological sensing, as a fluorescent probe to detect biological molecules.
The preparation method of DOS-Tz is complicated and requires high chemical experiment technology. A common preparation method is by acylation of the ortho position of the thioether, and then the resulting acylated product is subjected to oxidation to obtain the DOS-Tz.
Some safety information to pay attention to when using the DOS-Tz:
- DOS-Tz is an organic compound, please avoid skin contact and inhalation of its dust as much as possible. Appropriate personal protective equipment such as lab gloves, goggles and protective masks should be used during operation.
-The heating and decomposition of the DOS-Tz will release toxic gases and harmful vapors. It should be operated in a well-ventilated environment and avoid contact with open flames.
-During storage, the DOS-Tz should be stored in a sealed container to avoid contact with oxygen, humidity and strong light.
